Concrete laboratory tests: reliable data, confident decisions

We perform laboratory analysis and tests (standard and specialized) to verify performance, compliance and quality of concrete and its components, supporting construction sites, mix design and technical controls.

    Why tests are essential

Quality is not assumed: it is measured

Laboratory tests provide certainty and assurance of the successful outcome of site work and correct mix design.

For us, quality is a method:

Nothing is designed only "on paper"
Every mix is verified first on site
And then validated with laboratory tests

We have always operated with professionalism and quality pursuit, because numbers matter more than opinions.

Quality is not assumed: it is measured
    Concrete tests

    Certified tests on hardened concrete

    Cubic compression

    Cubic compression

    UNI EN 772-1 / UNI EN 12390-4

During fresh concrete controls, we prepare specimens for strength determination.

    150 mm side cubic specimens
Identification with unique marks to ensure traceability
Pick-up from site within 48 hours
Water curing at 20 ± 2°C until testing

Certified 3,000 kN press, suitable for specimens up to 200 mm side

    Indirect tensile "Brazilian" test

    Indirect tensile "Brazilian" test

    UNI EN 12390-6

The indirect tensile test is performed on cylindrical specimens Ø 150 mm, h 300 mm.

    Evaluation of hardened concrete strength
    Mixes with hydraulic binders
    Support for regulatory compliance
    Construction quality

Cylinder preparation follows the same procedure as cubic specimens

    Water penetration under pressure

    Water penetration under pressure

    UNI EN 12390-8

Essential test for so-called waterproof concrete. Beton Technology has specific and consolidated experience in this area.

200 mm cubic specimens, cured up to 28 days
72-hour exposure to water at 5 bar pressure
    Equivalent to a 50 m water column
Specimen breaking and penetration reading in mm

    Specific and consolidated experience

    Aggregate tests

    Complete analysis on constituent materials

We perform complete tests on aggregates to ensure the quality of materials used in concrete production.

    Particle size analysis

    UNI EN 933-1

Granulometric tests by wet and dry sieving.

    Bulk density and absorption

    UNI EN 1097-7

Determination of real bulk density of aggregates and absorption using basket or pycnometer method.

    Fines and sand quality

    UNI EN 933-8 / UNI EN 933-9

Quantity and quality of sand fines, Methylene blue, Methylene blue value (g dye absorbed/kg fraction).

    Sand equivalent

    UNI EN 933-8

Determination of sand equivalent of 0/2 mm fraction. SE value calculated as sediment height (%) relative to total height.
